Crystal Lake Golf Club Acquired by Local Investors, Welcomes New Director of Golf

Lakeville, Minn. (May 16, 2024) – Crystal Lake Golf Club in Lakeville, Minn. was acquired on April 19, 2024, by an ownership team comprised of private investors with deep ties to the area. Orchestrating the deal was Gary Ziehr, a business development consultant and long-time Lakeville resident. Co-managing Partners of Crystal Lake Golf Club LLC are Ziehr and entrepreneur Michael Pahl, a South Metro native and member of the Prior Lake community. Together they assembled a group of local investors to purchase the premier public golf course, event and dining facility originally established in 1995.

“ As a golfer who’ s enjoyed playing and socializing at Crystal Lake Golf Club for 20 years, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help ensure this beautiful venue continues to shine as a jewel of the South Metro,” said Ziehr. He added, “ The entire ownership team appreciates the importance of providing continuity for patrons and staff, all who enjoy and take pride in the club as much as we do. I’d like nothing more than to help guests continue their long-held traditions here while introducing new ones.”

He continued, “ I’ m excited to share ideas we have for adding new entertainment amenities and fun events to encourage more year-round use of the facility. We’ ve already begun updates to freshen up the club house and event facilities, making visual improvements that will immediately improve experiences for golfers, event-goers, and patio diners this season. The course is in spectacular shape, and I look forward to meeting many more patrons on and off the course!”
